Syllabus Quiz
The syllabus quiz should be completed as soon as you begin the semester. This quiz confirms that you fully understand what is required of you throughout the semester. The quiz is worth 10 points and should not be taken lightly. All of the answers are here in the course, so there is no reason for not scoring 100%. You might want to open two browsers for this quiz, one with the quiz and another with the syllabus open to read through. You can access the syllabus quiz by clicking the "Course" link and then going to the "Assignments & Exams" page. You must answer all the questions correctly in order to pass the quiz. Contact the instructor or course manager if you answer any questions wrong.

Bulletin Board Participation
The course bulletin board is a great place to interact with other students, the instructor, and to post aviation-related topics for discussion. There are 100 points maximum that you can earn by participating on the bulletin board. In order to receive the full 100 points, you must post at least 10 substantive responses or topics for discussion on the bulletin board and also reply to at least 10 postings from other students. Just make sure you are regularly participating on the bulletin board (at least once a week) and you won't have a problem getting full credit. Again, your postings must be substantive, meaning that they must be well thought out, using correct spelling and grammar, and more than just a one word or one sentence response. It is recommended that you compose your postings in Microsoft Word and do a spell check before submitting. Be sure to enter your full name into the "Username" field. If you do not enter your full name, you may not receive credit for your posting. Please enter your name exactly the same each time you post a message.

Throughout the lectures, there are topics designed to encourage your participation on the bulletin board. Don't limit yourself to these topics, however. You can also receive credit by developing your own aviation related topic for discussion. DO NOT LOG INTO THE BULLETIN BOARD. To post a message, click the "Bulletin Board" link under the "Course" icon and then click "New Topic". Make sure you enter your full name on all messages you post or you may not receive credit. To reply to another person's posting, click on the posting of interest and then click "Post Reply". If you have a question to ask the instructor, it is best to email it directly. Due to the large number of postings on the bulletin board, the instructor may not notice your question.

The bulletin board feature exists to enhance your aviation learning experience through interaction with other students and the instructor. Bulletin board discussions are to be limited to aviation-related topics. They are not to be used as a "soap box" forum to discuss any desired subject. The instructor reserves the right to delete any postings that are inappropriate or not related to aviation.

When posting comments or topics for discussion on the bulletin board, please bear in mind the diversity of backgrounds and beliefs that exist in our student body. The students in our online program reside in locations across the United States and some in Canada.

Lecture Quizzes
